Sporting Opportunities encourages mass participation in sport aimed primarily at previously disadvantaged groups, communities and individuals with a strong developmental approach.
This Project contributes towards transformation whilst removing access barriers
such as cost, elitism, race and gender. The intended beneficiaries of this project
are young people who have inherently been afforded very little exceptional opportunity.
Sporting Opportunities, through its Residential and Day Sporting Holidays, also
brings young people together from different backgrounds, to share their sporting
abilities and to learn from one another (inter-cultural relations). This project
addresses priority areas such as moral regeneration as well as social cohesion.
From the townships to the suburbs, it builds bridges between people on a community
level and breaks down barriers and negative stereotypes.
