The delivery of this project involves a three-stage process:
Stage One: Creating pathways for young people

Sporting Opportunities Coaches visit previously
disadvantaged (local and rural) communities and deliver coaching sessions in our
under-resourced partner schools (satellite centres) within these communities during
school term time. These coaching sessions provide young people with a proper introduction
to sport and assist in creating pathways into club, provincial and national sport.
Stage one of the project is where talented, potentially talented and dedicated individuals
and young leaders are identified (according to structured criteria). A powerful
platform is also created to influence positively young people regarding the 'real-life
challenges' facing them today.
Stage Two: Opportunity for young people

The individuals identified in stage one are then invited to attend a Day Sporting
Holiday at one of our resourced partner schools with outstanding facilities. The
young people attending these holidays will receive intensive sports coaching and
tuition as well as experiencing organised match play in facilities conducive to
learning.
There is also a major focus on education at the Sporting Holidays. Through structured
educational workshops, learners are informed about the importance of education as
a foundation for life (especially maths and science), careers in sport, healthy
nutrition, first aid, life skills courses and the requirements of becoming a sports
coach or administrator. These interactive educational workshops are delivered in
a fun and innovative manner ensuring learners demonstrate self-knowledge and the
ability to make informed decisions. Everyday participants receive three healthy
meals.
Stage Three: Integration for young people

The third stage involves the integration of these young people into the self-sustainable
Residential Sporting Opportunities Holidays at our partner resourced schools with
outstanding facilities. This provides an opportunity for young people from previously
disadvantaged (local and rural) communities to integrate with young people from
so-called advantaged backgrounds.
This has proved to create a very unique environment, where young people from all
backgrounds can crossover, live alongside each other and match their skills. This
stage assists in maximizing the integration across socio-economic groups and encourages
the process of transformation. All participants receive three healthy meals everyday
as well as accommodation at our partner resourced schools.
